BlazeYL Shares Eclectic Mixtape ‘The Cost Of Being’

He's shaping his own sound...

South London creative BlazeYL has shared new mixtape ‘The Cost Of Being’ in full.

The multi-hyphenate came of age in House Of Pharaohs, the now-seminal London collective who forges independent pathways. His own solo output continues this rapacious thirst for creativity, blurring genre lines in the process.

A singular voice in the UK underground, BlazeYL has formed what he calls ‘new wave’, a distinctive blend of rap, trap, the grime mixtapes has pored over as a teen, and the various strands of drill.

New mixtape ‘The Cost Of Being’ is out now in full, a deeply eclectic return that paints a picture of his corner of London. With roots in Kennington – itself a UK rap hotbed – the release features a plethora of guests, ranging from breakout stars like AntsLive to some underground heroes.

Blessed with his star quality, you can check out BlazeYL’s ‘The Cost Of Being’ below.
