The songwriter’s new album ‘Tarifa’ is out on September 29th via Nettwerk, and it finds Blanco expanding his dream-folk template to breaking point. Self-produced, sessions brought Blanco White in line with collaborator Nubiyan Twist’s Pilo Adami, while Bullion also inputted.
Admitting a debt to Mali-based music collective Tinariwen, new song ‘Silver Beaches’ radiates with an ever-present calm. The mesh of music combines tiny, minute details, resulting in a solid, over-arching structure, glued together with his wonderful voice.
