Blanco Heads To Brazil For ‘Ponzi Scheme’

Tune in now...

South London rapper Blanco has shared the video for new single ‘Ponzi Scheme’.

The Kennington figure has a long-standing fascination with Brazilian culture, allowing the music to seep into his drill techniques. His album ‘City Of God’ is perhaps the most potent example of this cross-cultural fusion, melting together the underground sounds of South London and Sao Paolo.

New single ‘Ponzi scheme’ continues this. Boasting production from FS Green and Dave Nunes (Soulection), the title should be taken at face value – it’s about finding yourself invested in something that has no worth.

He comments…

It’s a song about being in a situation where you finally have something that you longed for – whether that be a financial situation, person or a materialistic thing – and on achieving this goal you realise ‘it’s
not all it’s cracked up to be…’

The video takes Blanco to Brazil, displaying another side of his fascination with the South American country. Showing a grittier but no less beautiful aspect of Brazilian life, ‘Ponzi Scheme’ finds Blanco in his element.
