And the video breaks down new barriers...

Black Midi are moving with speed.

The band were one of SXSW's breakout acts, receiving international acclaim for a series of breakneck, utterly remarkable performances.

Returning to UK soil, Black Midi have announced a string of headline shows and shared a brand new song.

'Crow's Perch' retains the blistering energy of their live shows but added a new sense of control, exploring fresh areas with remarkable confidence.

The video was directed and edited by Vilhjálmur Yngvi Hjálmarsson - also known as susan_creamcheese - and it aims to reflect the track’s frenetic energy by slicing up saturated graphics with scenes of utter mundanity.

Asking which world we live in - one of saturated excitement or mundanity - 'Crow's Perch' explodes definitions, and does so with a delirious grin on its face.

Tune in now.
