Black Keys Expand ‘Brothers’

Limited edition box set due

The Black Keys are set to release an expanded version of their recent album ‘Brothers’.

If it ain’t broke, why fix it? For the past decade, The Black Keys have ploughed a lone furry mixing Delta blues with fiery rock. A stripped down duo, the group have been able to penetrate the mainstream without diluting their sound.

Recent album ‘Brothers’ stormed into the Billboard Top Ten. The Black Keys won critical acclaim, with the record benefiting from the production touch of Danger Mouse.

Retaining their essential two-piece sound, The Black Keys have toured across the world. Taking ‘Brothers’ with them it has become the group’s most successful full length release to date.

Now the duo are set to expand the album into a limited edition box set. ‘Brothers’ will contain the initial album on CD, alongside a double 45-RPM vinyl, a poster and a bonus 10 inch vinyl record.

Emphasising the group’s love of gritty vinyl, The Black Keys have included six bonus tracks on the 10 inch disc. Amongst the tracks are previously unreleased live versions of ‘Everlasting Light’, ‘She’s Long Gone’ and past single ‘Tighten Up’.

Due to be released on November 26th, The Black Keys have made more information available on the Nonesuch website.

Meanwhile, the duo launched their latest British tour last night (October 28th). Appearing in Glasgow, The Black Keys are set to play a series of sold out tour dates across the country. Ending in Bournemouth on November 7th, the shows are the band’s final British statement before the end of the year.

30 Newcastle O2 Academy
31 Leeds O2 Academy

November
