Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach Announces New Album

With new group The Arcs...

The Black Keys are now enjoying a bit of downtime, following the extensive touring which followed the enormous success of 'Turn Blue'.

Dan Auerbach, however, has no intentions of simply lying around. Forming new group The Arcs, the songwriter has went straight back into the studio.

The line up features a few familiar friends, with the singer working alongside Truth and Soul Records founder Leon Michels, Black Keys touring bassist Richard Swift, Menahan Street Band member Homer Steinweiss, Amy Winehouse collaborator Nick Movshon, guitarist Kenny Vaughan, plus the members of all-female mariachi band Mariachi Flor de Toloache.

New album 'Yours, Dreamily', will be released on September 4th via Nonesuch Records. The press notice states: "The Arcs collaboratively wrote and recorded 13 tracks for 'Yours, Dreamily', with the musicians playing a large array of roles both vocally and instrumentally… the album was recorded in roughly two weeks through spontaneous, informal sessions across the country".
