Bjork has joined calls to save Iceland's Highlands.
The singer broke her silence in a video message, timed to coincide with the annual Iceland Airwaves festival.
The artist calls for global support in saving the area, asking "the world to support us against our Government".
In order to protect the area Bjork is joining Gætum Garðsins is proposing that a national park be created – an idea the majority of Icelanders support.
