Billy Lockett Shares Moving New Single ‘Miss Missing You’

HIs debut album is incoming...

Billy Lockett has shared his moving new single ‘Miss Missing You’ in full.

The songwriter expresses personal feelings on his incoming album ‘Abington Grove’, named after the street he grew up on. Out on February 17th, it deals with young memories, losing his father, and accepting the responsibilities of adulthood.

He comments: “This is my first ever studio album. You only get to say that once in your life, so I felt ten years was enough time to get it right.”

“Every song is a different piece of my life, whether that’s involving love, addiction, self-doubt, or euphoria… building this body of work has been my therapy, and I can honestly say I’ve never been more proud of anything.”

New single ‘Miss Missing You’ is Billy Lockett at his most open, discussing the need for connection. Dulcet of vocal and direct of lyric, it comes with a James Green directed video, a clip that utilises a passionate dance from Alex Morton and Hannah Mason.

The two use their bodies to trace the lyric’s narrative, with Billy adding: “I love the connection the dancers have with each other, it feels so real and natural, and the video has the perfect balance of magic and simplicity, plus nothing beats a gospel choir and twist at the end.”
