Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan and Courtney Love have apparently fallen out over Twitter.
Billy Corgan and Courtney Love enjoy one of the most complex relationships in American music. Together, the pair virtually defined Stateside rock during the 90s but have frequently come to blow.
With a failed romance lying between them, relations are always strained. Helping out on Hole’s new album ‘Nobody’s Daughter’ appears to have taken its toll on Billy Corgan who has launched a tirade against Courtney Love on Twitter.
Speaking to his followers Billy Corgan seemed to begin the row by hinting at Courtney Love’s drug problems. “And I send out a lot of Love for anyone who struggles with addiction in any form, whether addict or family or partner of an addict.”
Soon after, the Smashing Pumpkins singer hit back at Courtney Love’s description of their relationship. “You know, if you are gonna recall sexual debauchery, at least try to get the year right.”
Billy Corgan then published a series of ‘thoughts’ seemingly aimed at the Hole icon: “Or, thought #3:maybe you should go someone nice+live off your husband’s money, u know the money he made for writing all those great songs.”
Courtney Love responded by saying: “all i am is nice about you so if you wanna be mean be mean i dont feel anything”.
Apparently a red flag to a bull… Corgan’s latest Tweets read: “Only u could abandon such a beautiful, incredible child who is smarter than u, cooler than u, and better than u. Oops, did I say too much?”
Finally: “Thought #6: so have your moment, burn up in the sun that laughs at u as equally as it appears to celebrate u+sleep knowing u have no honor.”
