Billie Eilish will release new album ‘HIT ME HARD AND SOFT’ on May 17th.
The American pop trailblazer scored a huge hit with debut album ‘When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ in 2019. Causing a ruckus at that summer’s Reading and Leeds festival, Billie Eilish felt like a ready-made icon.
Second album ‘Happier Than Ever’ saw her pivot in 2021, with Billie Eilish also being invited to construct a Bond theme.
Recently indicating to fans that she was ready to start a new era, Billie Eilish is true to her word. New album – her third, to date – ‘HIT ME HARD AND SOFT’ lands on May 17th.
Pre-orders are available now, with more information incoming.
CLASH profiled Billie Eilish in 2018 for an exclusive cover, and she mused on the nature of fame. “Being famous sucks so much,” she told us. “It’s so gross I just said that but it’s like, only some people should want this, you know what mean? People are like, ‘I just want to be famous, that’s all,’ and it’s like, ‘No, you don’t.’ Especially if you just want to be famous to be famous, that’s really pointless. The only thing that’s good about it, to me, is that I’m doing what I want and it’s become successful. That’s all I can say that is good. If you’re just going to be famous to be famous, that’s hell. The only reason I’m okay with doing all of this stuff and having it all happen is because I’m doing what I love.”
