It's called 'The Most Important Place In The World'...

Two highly idiosyncratic musicians, Bill Wells and Aidan Moffat were long ago drawn into one another’s orbit.

Deciding to work on a full length collaboration, the results – 2011 album ‘Everything’s Getting Older’ – were remarkable. Lavished with critical acclaim, the release even won the Scottish Album Of The Year award.

Well, there’s about to be a follow up. Again collaborating, Bill Wells and Aidan Moffat will release ‘The Most Important Place In The World’ on March 16th.

New single ‘Dark Desire’ is online now – driven by emotive piano chords and a languid, jazz-tinged arrangement, it’s a wonderful return.  Aidan Moffat: "It's a song for the city and the secrets she hides; it's ticking clocks and dirty dishes; it's raising the devil on old equipment. It's about the life we want versus the life we need – and deciding which is which."

Listen to it now.
