Big Yard Share Their Debut Single, ‘Proof’

A bold move from the Arizona-based outfit, gearing up towards their debut album 'Poets and Heroes'...

Big Yard are stepping up with their latest single ‘Proof’, released via Big Yard Nation.

A tale of lost love and overcoming, the track is a slick re-imagining of a country-rock anthem. Finding a balance between gritty and melodic acoustics, the track marks a bold debut from the Arizona outfit, allowing for Darryl Scotti’s vivid songwriting to truly shine across the hook. Embellished with a punchy percussion, ‘Proof’ unveils a new direction for the musicians, complimenting one another with their individual, unique approach.

Made up of Scotti and producers Alex Chaco and Aaron Howard, Big Yard weave between the influence of contemporary rock, pop and jazz with hints of soulful R&B. Their forthcoming debut album ‘Poets and Heroes’ is an exciting venture, an ode to each member’s dedication to their craft that carries the essence of Black Keys and Alabama Shakes. Having toured alongside the likes of Ray Charles, Billy Joe Royal, and Wayne Cochran & The CC Riders, Scotti is no stranger to live performance, an element that will hopefully highlight the strengths of Big Yard across the years ahead.

Speaking on their latest release, Scotti expands:  ‘Drinkin 90 Proof is only proof I still ain’t over you yet’ signifies the battle for emotion and addiction and being stuck between the two”.
