Outkast rapper Big Boi is set to add a guest verse to Frank Ocean's track 'Pink Matter'.
It's now been ten years since the release of 'Speakerboxxx/The Love Below' – a decade which has seen both Big Boi and Andre 3000 produce some fantastic work. Yet still fans clamour for an Outkast re-union, with both rappers continuing to tease out details of potential new material.
Now both artists are set to appear on a new version of Frank Ocean's 'Pink Matter'. Originally a stand out on 'Channel Orange' the studio version of the track features a guest spot from Andre 3000. Set to be re-recorded, fellow Outkast rapper Big Boi has been on hand to add extra rhymes.
The MC directed fans towards a picture featuring potential lyrics on Tumblr, alongside the missive: “Dropping a verse on this Frank Ocean ‘Pink Matter’”.
Previously, Big Boi tweeted: "Dre didn’t want an Outkast record coming out on anybody else’s LP".
Naturally the news has put the internet in somewhat of a tizzy, with some headlines screaming about a potential Outkast re-union. ClashMusic, though, are looking at this in a rather more direct manner: Andre 3000 + Big Boi + Frank Ocean = One Cool Track.
Here's the original 'Pink Matter'.
