Biffy Clyro started their American tour on Monday (September 13th) but suffered from a visa mix up.
Biffy Clyro are now looking beyond the UK. Having spent the summer playing epic festival shows and ever larger headline dates, the Scottish trio are setting their sights on our Stateside cousins.
Confirming a large Stateside tour, the band jetted in on Monday (September 13th) but soon found that their papers were not in order.
A visa mix up meant that only singer Simon Neil could enter the country. Set to perform in Boston, the trio cancelled the show but the big hearted frontman dug out his acoustic guitar and performed a free solo set.
Working to get the problems ironed out, Biffy Clyro should now be able to kick-start their American tour. “Unfortunately Biffy Clyro will not be performing in Boston due to immigration/visa delays in London,” the band said in a statement.
“However, Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro is here and will be performing several songs acoustically. All tickets will be refunded and admittance will be free of charge.”
Continuing, the statement finished by apologising to the band’s Boston fans. “The members of Biffy Clyro sincerely apologise to everyone for this unforeseen occurrence.”
The short Stateside tour opens on the East Coast with dates in Washington DC, New York and Philadelphia. Moving across the United States, Biffy Clyro will finish the jaunt with a show in San Francisco.
Returning to the UK, the Glasgow based trio are set to play an enormous arena tour. Beginning in Aberdeen on November 25th, Biffy Clyro will play two nights in Glasgow before finishing in Wembley Arena on December 4th.
