Biffy Clyro have seemingly changed the name of their forthcoming studio album.
Hidden away in the studio, Biffy Clyro recently came blasting out on tour. Organising a number of festival dates, the Scottish trio breezed into RockNess last weekend for what was effectively a home tie.
Playing a storming headline set, ClashMusic was there to soak up whatever tantalising glimpses of new material Biffy Clyro could throw at us.
Recent reports suggested that the band’s upcoming album would be titled ‘The Land At The End Of Our Toes’ and ‘The Sand At The Core Of Our Bones’. Now the NME is reporting that the name has been changed, with the group yet to confirm its final title.
It seems that the lines initially quoted come from one of the band’s new songs. ‘The Land At The End Of Our Toes’ and ‘The Sand At The Core Of Our Bones’ both appear in ‘Sounds Like Balloons’ – one of four new tracks now present in the Biffy Clyro live set.
Chatting to NME recently, frontman Simon Neill had the following to say about the new material. “We don’t ever want to make a boring rock record. We’re fans of big tunes, but it wouldn’t really be Biffy if it didn’t have the quirkiness and the weirdness.”
Biffy Clyro are set to appear at the Isle of Wight festival.
