Bicep and Benjamin Damage combine for new release ‘CHROMA 005 A.L.O.E’.
Bicep’s ongoing Chroma project is proving to be a superb platform for club endeavours, part of a summer of activity from the Northern Irish rave duo. Breezing through Glastonbury for some road block performances, they also took control at Finsbury Park and Brighton Beach for their biggest ever headline shows.
The latest CHROMA release is out now, and it pairs Bicep against revered techno figure Benjamin Damage. The three musicians sat down in Bicep’s London studio, utilising different kit – and the music simply flows.
‘CHROMA 005 A.L.O.E’. is out now, a crisp techno burner that carries Bicep’s painterly finesse and the system heft offered by the output of Benjamin Damage.
“This track came together in our London studio when Ben was over visiting,” explain the duo. “Whenever Ben’s in town we always experiment with something new, and in this case it was a custom setup with a Cirklon sequencer. The beauty of that is you can only really capture live takes, and never really return to a specific pattern again. We really love this one, and included it in our final run of live shows in 2022, so we’re really happy to get this one finally out there.”
