The Bestival Reunion tour is set to roll into London this week, and takes with it rap pioneers The Sugar Hill Gang amongst others.
The Bestival tour has been responsible for riotous parties across the UK, leaving in its trail a host of wrecked venues and deafened audiences. The latest – and final – installment of the tour reaches London on May 24th, and will feature the legendary Sugar Hill Gang. Responsible for the first hit rap record – “Rapper’s Delight” – the band are renowned as one of the originators of hip hop.
Also on the bill are the Sombrero Sound System, and the unforgettable Ulrich Schnauss whose ethereal electro has sent heads spinning. Elsewhere, part goers can catch Florence And The Machine and long-time Bestival cohorts The Cuban Brothers.
