OYE Records in Berlin has revealed that it will boycott this year's Record Store Day.
The enormous growth of the event sparked a backlash last year, with UK labels Sonic Cathedral and Howling Owl deciding to pull out.
Influential German retailer OYE Records has now confirmed that it will not participate in 2016, as the Vinyl Factory reports.
OYE Records operate two outlets in the capital of Berlin, as well as online functions and are a prominent voice in the country's music scene.
Record Store Day 2016 takes place on April 16th.
