LA musician Berhana has shared new single ‘Break Bread’, a third offering from his upcoming album.
Scoring the heady rush of desire, ‘Break Bread’ is kaleidoscopic RnB at its most sybaritic – a cosmic aria a la The Neptunes.
Speaking on ‘Break Bread’, Berhana shares, “It’s about finding someone I’m really into after taking a bunch of L’s, while at the same time having to remind myself to slow down. The song moves between infatuation and caution until the bridge, where I finally let go.”
On new album ‘Amén’, Berhana explores the tendrils of love and identity. Leaning into his Ethiopian roots, the album merges traditional East African instrumentation with diaristic storytelling and Berhana’s already established lithe future-soul experiments.
‘Amén የዘላን ህልም (The Nomad’s Dream)’ arrives October 20th.
