Benny Sings and Kenny Beats link on new single ‘The World’.
The two go back a long way, first formally linking up for Benny’s 2021 release ‘Beat Tape II’. Kenny Beats produced one song for the project, and in turn invited Benny Sings to contribute to the producer’s own ‘Louise’ album.
A broader project is incoming, with the pair sharing new single ‘The World’. It’s a smooth return, the 70s yacht rock appeal melding together with R&B and pop elements – there’s even a face-melting guitar part from LA based musician Hether.
In a note, Benny says the song has “a very nostalgic, ‘70s feel, pumped up by Kenny.”
‘The World’ is about “living it up” wherever you are: “All that math and history / It don’t mean that much to me / Get those books away from me / Come and see the world.”
