Multi award-winning artist and producer benny blanco’s forthcoming third LP is shaping up to be totally star-studded; having previously worked with the likes of Justin Bieber, Halsey, Khalid, and Juice WRLD, new single ‘Bad Decisions’ is upping the ante. Taking on arguably the biggest boyband in the world, BTS, as well as the legendarily smooth flow of Snoop Dogg, ‘Bad Decisions’ is a catchy, Summer anthem that’s sure to have you hooked.
BTS’ vocal line absolutely delight on track; whether cracking out ethereal, sparkling harmonies or solo performances, Jin, Jimin, V and Jung Kook absolutely nail the task at hand. ‘Bad Decision’ glistens, an irresistible burst of dazzling dancefloor-ready energy. Snoop Dogg’s charismatic, distinctive bars only add an extra sprinkle of spice, his deep voice easily fitting into the bouncy charm of the track.
The choice to pair up the South Korean superstars and Long Beach juggernaut was most definitely not a ‘bad decision’, we must say. Speaking on the pairing, benny blanco comments: “I’m still pinching myself,” says benny. “I can’t believe I have a song coming out with Jin, Jimin, V and Jung Kook of BTS and Snoop Dogg. It doesn’t even feel real!”
The music video serves as a cheeky, playful honouring of the ‘unreal’ BTS feature. Directed by Ben Sinclair, the video sees benny blanco waking up in his BTS-themed bedroom before frantically preparing for a concert – complete with benny practising choreo in his room, swinging his BTS Army Bomb lightstick around as he tries to nail the intricate dance moves.
‘Bad Decisions’ is also going to be the first track that an Xbox controller will be able to… sing? Yes, that’s right – Xbox have recently partnered with Interscope Records, and the pair have created a brand new musical controller. Complete with custom artwork, the names of all the artists and a speaker that will play the song, the controller is set to be the first of its kind.
Fans will be able to enter to win one of their own singing controllers, simply by following and retweeting the @Xbox announcement tweet. In addition, Forza Horizon 5 will creating and giving away a custom vehicle in-game that will also match up with ‘Bad Decision’s single artwork.
