French vocalist Ben L’Oncle Soul has shared his new album ‘Is It You?’ in full.

The French songwriter is a stellar live performer, and recently packed out London’s revitalised KOKO venue as part of a broader European tour. Indeed, this concert energy fuels his new album, which was largely recorded live in the studio with his trusty band.

Out now, ‘Is It You?’ dips into vintage soul flavours while also offering something new. Laid down at the world-renowned Red House in Champagne-Ardenne, it melds together jazz aspects with R&B, in the process locating something truly original.

A nine-track document, ‘Is It You?’ finds Ben L’Oncle Soul learning to be open once again. Out now via Enchanté and Believe, he comments:

This album is a conversation about life. The pandemic made us have a different point of view, we had to live differently, I started to see life all over again. We had to deal with our feelings; whether it was anger, hope, or faith; I tried to find a way with music”.

Tune in now.
