Belle & Sebastian Appear In The Simpsons

"I think they did us pretty well, what do you think?"

Belle & Sebastian popped up in the Simpsons last night (December 3rd).

The iconic cartoon series is still rolling on, with Groundskeeper Willie finding love in the latest episode. There’s a full-on Scottish theme, too – Inverness actress Karen Gillan plays his betrothed, while David Tennant also pops up.

In a note on IG, Karen Gillan wrote:

I can finally announce the role I was born to play. That’s right folks, I’m Groundskeeper Willie’s new Scottish love interest in The Simpsons.

As ever, there are thrills and spills along the way, with Bart making a last-ditch intervention at the wedding itself. Also, who knew Groundskeeper Willie’s real name was William MacMoran MacDougal? Not us, that’s for sure.

The rehearsal dinner receives an indie pop soundtrack, with Belle & Sebastian popping up – singer Stuart Murdoch was delighted.

“I think they did us pretty well, what do you think? Beans and Stevie are particularly well represented.”
