London Grammar delivered an atmospheric cover of the Prince classic 'Purple Rain' as part of their Live Lounge set.

The band appeared on the Radio 1 staple yesterday (September 12th) and - as is the tradition - mixed up their own material with a specially chosen cover.

Opting for 'Purple Rain', the trio flipped the Prince song on its head by delivering a sparse, atmospheric performance.

Rooted in that lush yet tender vocal, it's a wonderful take on a true classic.

Tune in now.
