beaux has laid out plans for new EP ‘how can i sleep? i’m wide awake’.
The EP – his fourth to date – finds the pop riser expanding his sound once more, and it lands on October 28th through Dirty Hit. Crafted at the label’s own studio HQ, it’s led by the aptly titled lead single ‘let’s go’.
Out now, ‘let’s go’ finds beaux centring his craft on the guitar, using a vintage Gibson Les Paul to locate his sense of focus. Emerging from a single session, the song ripples with energy, allowing beaux to work freely and unhindered.
“I wrote the track with Jonah Summerfield last year at the Dirty Hit studio,” explains beaux. “We’d been there the whole day and not really come up with that much – I just kept messing around with this beautiful 50’s Gibson Les Paul Junior that had just come into the studio and I wanted to write something around that guitar. My manager turned up with his new dog and as everyone was chatting, I took the LP Junior into the other room and started to write and it just came to me.”
Catch beaux at his debut headline show at London’s Camden Assembly on October 18th.
Tune in now.
