beabadoobee’s ‘Coming Home’ Is A Paean To Domesticity

"It's just a cute little love song..."

beabadoobee has shared new single ‘Coming Home’.

The West London raised artist is back, with her new album ‘This Is How Tomorrow Moves’ set to land on August 16th via Dirty Hit.

A work of maturity, it finds former CLASH cover star Bea grappling with adulthood. “I love this album,” she commented in a press note. “I feel like it’s helped me so much more than anything else has in navigating this new era, this new understanding of where I’m at. I guess it’s about becoming a woman.”

Produced by Rick Rubin, no less, the album’s themes are apparent on new single ‘Coming Home’. A quirky return, the low-key approach allows the lyrics to ring out with a clear yet subtle intensity.

An ode to domestic bliss penned on the road, ‘Coming Home’ is about the day-to-day pleasures that make life worth living. beabadoobee comments…

I wrote it in a hotel room in LA when I was away from my boyfriend, my loved ones, my two cats. It opens with all the little mundane things like doing the dishes, that I miss because I’m always away. Really, it’s just a cute little love song with a weird non-existent structure.”
