London songwriter Bea Anderson glows on new EP ‘The Classroom Of Silence’.
The songwriter melds R&B tropes – think Aaliyah, Mariah… the greats – with aspects of her Caribbean heritage, throwing in some gospel for good measure. An outstanding vocalist, Bea speaks from the heart, delivering life lessons at every turn.
New EP ‘The Classroom Of Silence’ contains six chapter, six songs that deal with moments in her own experience. Out now, it was executive produced by Bea herself, while production comes from Jarom Su’a (Drake, Timbaland).
Hailed as part of MOBO’s Unsung Class of 2023, this is her moment to shine – fantastic, UK-centric R&B, with soulful allure and a piercing sense of truth.
The song cycle follows the journey to self-love, moving past forgiveness in the process. Bea comments…
“This project signifies six lessons I learned in the classroom of silence. The name is derived from the life-changing book The Rhythm of Life by Matthew Kelly. The concept explores the notion that true knowing of identity occurs when nothing else is occurring – also known as in the midst of silence. Each song depicts a different life lesson and ultimately the influential turning points in the development of my identity. The project explores the themes of healing, love and transformation.”
