It features stripped back recordings and remixes...

Shoegaze group bdrmm will release new EP 'The Bedroom Tapes' on October 23rd.

The Leeds-Hull band shared their dreamy debut album earlier this year, with its drifting musicality shot through with shards of opaque light.

Alas, the pandemic has robbed them of the chance to tour the album, but bdrmm did record a number of stripped back radio sessions.

These recordings form the backbone of new EP 'The Bedroom Tapes', which lands on October 23rd.

Alongside the radio sessions, bdrmm have also added three remixes to round out the project.

Available as a limited edition 12 inch on white vinyl, bdrmm have also pieced together a black shell cassette.

“They were recorded over a three-day period at the height of our lockdown anxieties,” explains Jordan Smith. “They are intentionally stripped back and loose, juxtaposing what we set out to do with the album.”

He continues: “We pulled together a small recording studio in my bedroom; there were cables everywhere and it was all quite a mess. As a result, these versions are more reflective of the times they were recorded in: suppressed, uncertain and alone.”

'The Bedroom Tapes' EP will be released on October 23rd.
