Bastille Announce New Album ‘Give Me The Future’

Dramatic new single 'No Bad Days' is out now...

Bastille will release new album 'Give Me The Future' on February 4th.

The new album is the band's first since their 2019 full length 'Doom Days', and it was built during the pandemic when Bastille's live itinerary was torn up.

Curiously, however, songwriter Dan Smith had already sketched out a plan for the album pre-pandemic – but it's themes took on an eerily prescient turn as the world's path wound its course.

“Working on these songs in such an apocalyptic period, with everyone stuck at home, glued to screens, fed into the feeling that what is real and what is not has become pretty difficult to discern sometimes,” says Dan. “We’re in the age of deep fake, fake news and lying world leaders. But online, you can be anyone. What that does to our sense of self and to our relationships is huge and it’s fascinating.”

Out on February 4th, 'Give Me The Future' blends tech-heavy themes with glistening, ambitious pop music, and it's led by a potent new single.

'No Bad Days' is a vision of the future, one with promise and paranoia; a kind of alt-pop Black Mirror, it moves from the visceral – "fuck 'em fuck 'em fuck 'em fuck 'em" – to the euphoric.

Tune in now.
