Legendary UK graffiti artist Banksy is set to be unveiled to the public, with the publication of the first major biography on his life – “Banksy’s Bristol – Home Sweet Home”.
The graffiti star came of age in a Bristol dominated by hip hop, and the strange new sounds developed by its inhabitants. While groups such as Massive Attack and Portishead made revolutionary new music, Banksy was on a one-man mission to brighten up the streets of the city.
The new book recounts the history of the Bristol graffiti scene, and includes interviews with all the main figures from the arts and music scenes.
“Banksy’s Bristol – Home Sweet Home” is launched in Cargo on April 3rd.
