Seattle group Band Of Horses have delighted fans after confirmed new album ‘Infinite Arms’ is due for release later this year.
Formed in 2004, Band Of Horses have risen from cult obscurity to become hugely respected songwriters. Snapped up by local powerhouse indie label Sub Pop, the relationship has sent Band Of Horses into the charts.
2007’s ‘Cease To Begin’ was a stunning return, and peaked at number 35 on the Billboard charts. Since then Band Of Horses have toured the world, playing to ever increasing crowds as word of mouth spread about the band.
Taking time off, the group began recording new material last year. Band Of Horses have taken touring members Tyler Ramsey and Bill Reynolds, with both contributing to the writing process for the new album.
‘Infinite Arms’ is due to be released on May 18th, although the group have not specified which label will be entrusted with the material. Producer Phil Elk returns to hone the band’s plaintive Americana, with Band Of Horses finding themselves renewed.
Singer Ben Bridwell claimed that “in many ways, this is the first Band of Horses record.” Although, in a more accurate way, it’s actually their third.
Band Of Horses have also confirmed a number of European tour dates. Planning to play a number of headline shows, the Seattle band have also been invited to tour with Northern Irish giants Snow Patrol.
