UK producer Baltra returns with new track ‘Echoes Of Us’.
The electronic renegade has built an enviable catalogue, releasing on some peerless underground labels. Previous cuts have emerged through Local Action, Shall Not Fade and Future Classic, with Baltra now focussed on his own 96 And Forever imprint.
Out now, ‘Echoes Of Us’ melts together the percussive physicality of 90s rave culture with something that is palpably psychedelic; a counterpoint could include Daniel Avery’s more hallucinogenic work, but – as ever – Baltra is out there on his own.
Sketching a world beyond influential 2019 debut album ‘Ted’, there’s an innate immediacy to the track that pulls you into the forward rush of the moment.
Baltra comments…
With ‘Echoes Of Us’ I wanted to create an entrancing journey characterized by bubbling soundscapes, driving percussion, and a slight touch of acid. When your memories are so intense that they’re overpowering your ability to live in the moment, I hope this track can be one you can throw in your headphones and lose yourself in the present rather than the past.
