London indie-punk types Baddies are set to release their new single ‘Holler For My Holiday’ on June 1st.
Baddies sprang to our attention with a series of ear-searingly great gigs across London. The band impressed us so much, in fact, that we invited the band to play our End Of Year Revue and also named them among our tips for 2009.
The group released their debut single ‘Battleships’ last year, and swiftly followed it with a host of sizzling live shows. The track came out on the band’s own Medical imprint, causing a number of major labels to flutter their eyelashes in the direction of Baddies.
However the indie-punk troupe were not to be wooed, and forthcoming single ‘Holler For My Holiday’ is also due to be self-released. Backed with new B-side handshake and a remix of their debut release, the single is a huge leap onwards for the group.
Baddies are set for a busy summer with appearance confirmed at a number of European festivals including Roskilde, Pukkelpop, Melt and many more. Funnily enough they are also due to play RockNess, where Claish is of course hosting an arena – are they following us?
‘Holler For My Holiday’ is an escapist anthem which could well become the soundtrack for the summer. Justifying the faith of those early supporters, the track is bound to win Baddies some much deserved mainstream attention.
