It's called 'Déjàvu' and drops this summer...

BADBADNOTGOOD's Matty has announced plans for new solo album 'Déjàvu'.

Real name Matthew Tavares, the Toronto musician is set to step to the side of BADBADNOTGOOD, focussing on a new solo project.

New album 'Déjàvu' arrives on June 15th, following sessions co-produced by Matty and Frank Dukes.

A handful of tracks are online now, with Matty now sharing subtle, languid, and highly inventive new song 'Clear'. He explains:

"'Clear' is the first song I demo'd with Frank Dukes two years ago and was the last song I finished on the record. It started with a minute-long, poorly performed iPhone recording of the chords / lyrics, and I wasn't even sure if I wanted to play it for him. When we started working on it he made the melody the focal point of the song."

"With this in mind we completely restructured it and it quickly became a favourite for both of us. Writing this song helped me realize my patterns in intimate relationships that I still struggle with."

Tune in now.

'Déjàvu' will be released on June 15th.
