BADBADNOTGOOD and Tim Bernardes have collaborated on new single ‘Poeira Cosmica’.
The Toronto group recently held down an eight-night residency at the legendary Blue Note club, throwing in some surprises for good measure. Totally sold out, one of the guests was the revered composer Tim Bernardes, who joined the band to unveil some new material.
Clips quickly made their way online, and with hype surrounding the track BADBADNOTGOOD have moved to release the full studio version on streaming.
Out now, ‘Poeira Cosmica’ is a magnificently well-rounded piece of music, a fully realised collaboration that feels more than the sum of its parts. BADBADNOTGOOD bring their elasticity to the fore, while Tim Bernardes pushes the band to a different space.
Arthur Verocai also contributes, with ‘Poeira Cosmica’ acting as a deft step beyond the confines of the group’s celebratory Mid Spiral suite – ‘Chaos, Order, Growth’ – released earlier this year and now available in physical formats.
