Spanish artist Bad Gyal has shared her debut album ‘La Joia’ in full.
The singer is an icon across much of the globe, a model and musician who has built a colossal online audience from scratch.
Bad Gyal’s viral cover in 2016 of Rihanna’s ‘Work’ sent the internet into a spasm, followed by two mixtapes, a global deal with Interscope, and her huge 2019 single ‘Alocao’.
Kicking into the New Year, Bad Gyal shared her debut album in full over the weekend. A true blockbuster, ‘La Joia’ is a phenomenon, with its mammoth 16 track span delivered in meticulous fashion.
A supreme vocalist, the all-star production boasts some incredible studio talent. In all, ‘La Joia’ utilises beats from El Guincho, MAG, Merca Bae, Nely El Arma Secreta, Sky Rompiendo, and Scott Storch.
Lyrically, the material hinges on the central metaphor of a jewel, a symbol of strength, wealth, and beauty. ‘La Joia’ grabs features from Anitta, Young Miko, Tokischa, Myke Towers, Tommy Lee Sparta and many others.
