Aziya’s ‘wundagirl’ Is An Igniting Moment

The London-based artist gears up to her second project, set to release this year...

London-based artist Aziya has shared her brand new single, ‘wundagirl’.

The newcomer is steering towards the resurgence of alt-rock, ramping up the energy once more. Stumbling across a sample by one of her favourite producers wondagurl, the track revolves around the pressures of industry success, drowning out the noise with big drums and moody riffs. Entirely written and produced by Aziya herself, the track joins a string of singles from this year, including fan-favourite ‘atomic’ and ‘chain’.

Following a stand-out UK tour and supporting the likes of Florence + The Machine, Nova Twins and The Vaccines, Aziya is going from strength to strength. Now gearing up towards her second project, the artist continues to hone her triple-threat approach, tracing back to when she first picked up a guitar at 10 years old.

Speaking on her latest release, Aziya details: “sometimes the expectations and requirements of the music industry from an artist is beyond human capability; it requires a superhero, a wundagirl!!! I wrote this song to remind myself and others that in these moments of  feeling inadequate who you are what you do is more than good enough and worth persevering for.”

Tune in now.
