Azekel will release debut mixtape ‘Analyze Love’ early next year.
The multi-faceted songwriter was born in Nigeria, before relocating to East London as a child. Merging the different strands of his heritage, he produces something soulful but also new and evocative, subverting tropes while embracing them.
Lauded by his peers, Azekel’s debut mixtape ‘Analyze Love’ features some weighty collabs – including NAO, Ebo Taylor, Made Kuti, Kwesi Arthur, Kojey Radical, Ivy Sole and anaiis, Moses Boyd and Charlie Stacey.
New single ‘Chocolati’ is out now, with the final album version boasting production assistance from Troy, Azekel and Obed from Super Jazz Club; in addition to this, NAO loans her vocals.
Alongside this, a stellar COLORS performance has gone live, featuring a stripped back yet nonetheless scintillating vocal take.
