Azealia Banks vs Doechii Beef: The Timeline

It's hotting up...

Azealia Banks may have bitten off more than she can chew with latest sparring partner Doechii.

The beef hotted up on social media overnight, but in truth it’s been brewing for weeks. It actually started amicably – Doechii reached out to Azealia Banks, asking if she wanted to record extra parts for a remix of her single ‘Crazy’.

Azealia Banks initially agreed, but the collaboration then stalled. The ‘212’ artist switched tone on social media, and began trash-talking Doechii, the release, and her label TDE.

“TDE is going out f*cking sad,” she wrote on social media, before adding: “What the f*ck is even happening with TDE?”

Azealia Banks then confusingly said: “You have this f*cking Doechii chick, who I have no f*cking clue who she is.”

For her part, Doechii took all this like a champion, speaking to a fan on Twitter / x: “I was respectful, excited, and grateful to make art with her.”

Overnight, however, Azealia Banks decided to ramp things up. Doechii innocently asked the internet what her fan army should be called, with Azealia clapping back with “definitely should call them the ‘wannabes'”.

Doechii decided enough was enough, shooting back: “the first time you came for me I let it slide outta respect for my elders. It’s not my fault you sellin b*ssy soap and I’m sellin platinum records. Leave me alone PLEASE.”

Of course, this is far from the first row Azealia Banks has been involved in – there are her recent comments on Beyonce, the Irish, Australia, the entirety of UK rap…

This one might run and run.
