Ayra Starr will release new album ‘The Year I Turned 21’ on May 31st.
The afrobeats star is rapidly becoming a global icon, with a Grammy nomination in her wake. Debut album ’19 & Dangerous’ was celebrated for its creativity, and Ayra makes her Glastonbury debut – on the Pyramid stage, no less – this summer.
On May 31st fans will be greeted by her next chapter – new album ‘The Year I Turned 21’. Documenting her rise in real-time, Ayra Starr treats music as autobiography, speaking her truth amid a soulful fusion of afrobeats, R&B, and pop.
The album artwork is out now, alongside a social teaser co-stars British model and influencer Victor Kunda.
Set to be released at the end of this month, the 14-track album is peppered with collaborations, including Anitta, Coco Jones, Asake, Giveon, Nigerian rapper Seyi Vibez, andher brother Millar.
