Ayesha Madon Opens Up On New Single ‘Blame Me’

Australian artist returns...

Ayesha Madon has shared new single ‘Blame Me’.

The Australian artist works in multiple disciples, achieving huge success as an actress. Taking a key breakout role in the Heartbreak High reboot, she’s just about to return to UK screens with the second season.

Alongside this, she’s been able to build on her passion for music. A flurry of ace singles – such as the recent UKG indebted banger ‘Eulogy’ – have paved the way, and new release ‘Blame Me’ ups the ante still further.

A song about embracing self-worth, it finds Ayesha opening up, using music as a means to focus her feelings. There’s a soulful allure to her vocal, leaning on her R&B impulses but steering them in a more straight-forward pop fashion.

Illustrating another side of her personality, she comments…

Blame Me’ is a song about the inconvenience of catching feelings for a friend and the messiness, guilt and inner turmoil that comes from that. It’s always seemed a little unfair that we don’t always get to choose who we feel things for, especially if we really, really don’t intend to.

I wrote this song a couple of months back while I was in the studio with my amazing friend Gab (Aka Japanese Wallpaper). I usually struggle to open up in sessions so most often write solo but Gab just has this beautifully calm and accepting energy and we wrote the bones of the song in just a couple hours.

Tune in now.
