London artist Ayar has shared his new song 'Travelling'.
Matching songwriting prowess to his innate skills as a rapper, Ayar's soulful leanings place his work in an area of its own.
Definitely individual in his stance, Ayar's EP 'Keeping Up With The Neighbours' was hewn from his own experiences.
Put simply, it's about "dwelling on situations being dictated to me, because I was trying to keep up with my surroundings…"
We're able to share new song 'Travelling', and it's a demonstration of the depth to Ayar's lyricism.
Each word seems to nod towards several meanings, all intersecting to pursue something pursue and highly potent.
Seemingly the first track he wrote for the EP, Ayar "wasn’t sure what was going to come of it…"
"I managed to spill out some thoughts that summed up my mental state at the time," he recalls, "moving but at a place of reflection."
"'Hold me down while I sway, while I grey, while I travel through my states…' Grey hairs to me are a sign of longevity not necessarily wisdom but can also be an indication of both, in summary there is always more to come as long as we are alive but the journey in comparison to what the destination is, can be more of what I think I need…"
