Iceland artist Axel Flóvent returns with new single ‘When The Sun Goes Down’.
The release is his first since the warming sounds of the ‘Coexist’ EP, and comes as he works towards his second album. Breaking cover with something new, Axel Flóvent presents a winter warmer, a feast of melodic inflection and coy lyricism.
Out now, ‘When The Sun Goes Down’ takes his music in a more direct, dare we say pop, direction one packed with flavour and character. Constructed in London, Axel Flóvent worked in the studio alongside renowned production team MyRiot.
He comments…
“’When the Sun Goes Down’ is about finding your confidence and having that strong feeling in your heart that at the end of the day you got it, you’ve got what it takes. Doesn’t matter that there are obstacles in the way, just accepting that there are obstacles in the way.”
Backed by a beautiful visualiser, this feels like a real step forward from the Icelandic artist, building on the potential inherent in 2021 album ‘You Stay By The Sea’.
Tune in now.
