Brooklyn trio Au Revoir Simone are set to release their new album ‘Still Night, Still Light’ on May 19th.
An all girl group, Au Revoir Simone’s close harmonies knit together over some icy electronica. Signed to Moshi Moshi in the UK, the band’s delicate debut album ‘Verses of Comfort, Assurance & Salvation’ was a small scale delight.
Swiftly followed by second album ‘The Bird Of Music’, that album birthed the single ‘Sad Song’ which has become the group’s signature track.
Produced by Thom Monahan, the new album is the group’s first collection of new material since 2007. The band contributed a spectral cover of ‘Oh You Pretty Things’ to a David Bowie tribute album.
The album will be released on the trio’s own label Our Secret Record Company in the United States. It is expected that a British release will follow shortly thereafter on Moshi Moshi.
