Details of the forthcoming premiere of the All Tomorrow’s Parties film have emerged, with a special screening to take place in Edinburgh.
All Tomorrow’s Parties is, by now, a British institution. Inspired by the success of the Belle & Sebastian organised Bowlie Weekender, the regular events take over the Butlins resort in Minehead and turn it into a kaleidoscope of indie legends.
In the past, events have been curated by the likes of Mogwai, The Breeders, Shellac and more – on one occasion even getting infamous BritArt duo The Chapman Brothers to chose their favourites acts.

Small yet perfectly formed, All Tomorrow’s Parties celebrates an important milestone this year. It is now ten years since the epochal Bowlie Weekender waltzed into our lives, and organisers have asked fans to send in footage for a very special documentary.
By using fans footage the new film aims to display exactly what it is like to attend an All Tomorrow’s Parties event. The bands, the camaraderie and of course the excessive drinking. Definitely the excessive drinking.
Using footage from over two hundred film makers the new documentary is being patched together with key contributions from co-director Jonathan Caouette and cinematographer Vincent Moon.
Future Cinema and Warp X, in association with ATP, have released tickets to ‘The Night of Musical Delights’, a spectacular concert that will follow the UK Premiere screening of ALL TOMORROW’S PARTIES at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 24th.
Transforming an Edinburgh cinema into a 1950s holiday camp, the screening will be followed by music and performance complete with midnight bingo, Northern Soul dancers and lovely legs competitions.
The concert will include a DJ set by Belle & Sebastian’s Chris Geddes, and will climax with a set by a secret Scottish act. Guaranteed to be someone worth catching, this is a unique premiere to honour a unique event.
