Asobi Seksu plan to tackle two of their favourite tracks on a forthcoming single.
Hailing from New York, Asobi Seksu’s take on the legacy of shoegaze pushes it into ethereal new realms. Returning with their very direct new album ‘Fluorescent’ last year, the band appeared to have discovered a new rock kick.
Taking the album out on the road, Asobi Seksu turned their amps up and rocked out on tour with Rival Schools and Trail Of Dead. Now the band have outlined plans for an unusual one off single.
Due to be released on October 17th, Asobi Seksu will cover the Jesus & Mary Chain classic ‘Never Understand’. The flip contains a re-working of ‘Little House Of Savages’ by The Walkmen, with the single due to be released through Polyvinyl.

Meanwhile, Asobi Seksu have also decided to unveil the beautiful video for album track ‘Perfectly Crystal’. The video was directed by Billy Pavone, the band’s recently departed bass player, and comes as the New York outfit prepare to head out on a Stateside tour with Japanese drone legends BORIS.
