Arny Margret’s ‘cold aired breeze’ Is Gorgeous

Her debut album 'they only talk about the weather' is incoming...

Icelandic songwriter Arny Margret has shared new song ‘cold aired breeze’.

The rising artist caught attention with her riveting EP, a selection of songs dominated by emotional connection, and a desire towards expression. Raised in the small town of Ísafjörður, music has taken her across the seas, completing a run of European and North American shows.

Debut album ‘they only talk about the weather’ is out on October 21st, and it finds Arny pushing herself further and further. She says: “With this album, I feel like I’ve gotten further. There’s so much here about the past, and some of it’s newer, so it feels a little like I’ve revisited some stuff and blended it with me right now. Going over things, wishing I’d done things differently, thinking a lot about what’s happened. But in the end, it’s brought me here.”

New song ‘cold aired breeze’ is a beautifully evocative piece of songwriting, a whispered incantation that puts us in mind of Jessica Pratt, for example, or even Bon Iver’s acoustic side.

Tune in now.
