Armand Hammer have shared their new track ‘Trauma Mic’.
The alt-rap pairing – billy woods and ELUCID – signalled their return recently, with new album ‘We Buy Diabetic Test Strips’ set to land on September 29th via Fat Possum Records.
The incoming LP follows their Alchemist-produced ‘Haram’ (2021), and finds the pioneering pairing pivoting in a fresh direction.
New single ‘Trauma Mic’ is out now, produced by DJ Haram and boasting a feature from Pink Siifu. Unrelenting in its rule breaking, ‘Trauma Mic’ comes from the heart, the work of artists who obey no rules but their own.
The video was co-directed by acclaimed actor Tim Blake Nelson and his son Henry Nelson, and features DJ Haram, billy woods and ELUCID. “It’s one of those joints where everything really fell into place to create this visceral song that just snowballs, except instead of snow it’s a neodymium magnet cascading down a mountain of discarded pig iron,” say Armand Hammer.
