Ariel’s ‘In-N-Out’ Explores The Dark Side Of The Music Industry

But it's also a crisp electro-pop missile...

Reclusive alt-pop talent Ariel has shared new song 'In-N-Out' – tune in now.

Over the past few months the name Ariel has adorned a number of intriguing pop releases, swarming across our SoundCloud account and beaming out of the Clash speakers.

Seemingly wrought from a difficult period in the songwriter's life, the crisp, immaculate pop feel points towards those epic Swedish music factory – except it was recorded in a room above the garage at her parent's house.

A project born from burn out and addiction, Ariel looks at the darker side of the music industry on new song 'In-N-Out'.

Pitting pop melodies against R&B influences, it feels much more developed than it actually is – the arrangement is sparse, but each aspect finds its place, allowing it to take on a bolder role than its DIY roots might otherwise cater for.

Lyrically, Ariel's laser-accurate approach picks apart pop's eerie ability to soak up young talent, and then dismiss them, leaving significant damage in their lives.

The pointed methodology of the lyrics really hits home, a song about validation that could work in most lives; the pop arena, though, makes these feelings so much more heightened.

A crisp electro-pop missile, you can check out 'In-N-Out' below.
