Arctic Monkeys Launch Crowdfund Appeal To Save Sheffield’s Leadmill

You can win Alex Turner's guitar...

Arctic Monkeys have launched a new crowdfunded appeal to save Sheffield's Leadmill venue.

Like many other venues across the country, the vital Sheffield hub is facing closure, with no shows having taken place there since the start of the year.

In conjunction with the Music Venue Trust, Arctic Monkeys have launched a new appeal, intended to send funds towards Sheffield's Leadmill alongside other venues nationwide.

Everyone who pledges will be able to exclusively view the band's Reading Festival 2006 performance, and will be entered into a special raffle.

The prize? Alex Turner has donated his trusty Fender Stratocaster, as played during their fateful Reading set – perhaps the hype of their initial MySpace driven hysteria.
